Project Overview
Ranlanka Travels is a trusted travel agency offering curated travel experiences across Sri Lanka and beyond. To enhance their online presence, they needed a professional website that effectively showcases their travel packages, destinations, and team, while also providing a seamless browsing experience for potential travelers.
For this project, I utilized a premium WordPress travel theme as the foundation and implemented custom enhancements to tailor the website to Ranlanka Travels’ unique branding and business needs.
Challenges & Requirements
Ranlanka Travels required a website that:

My Role & Contributions
As the web developer and customizer for this project, I was responsible for:
1. Theme Selection & Customization
- Selected a WordPress travel theme that best aligned with Ranlanka Travels’ requirements and branding.
- Customized the layout, colors, fonts, and UI elements to match the agency’s branding.
- Modified the homepage and inner pages to create a unique and visually appealing design.
2. Elementor-Based Customizations
- Used Elementor to design and fine-tune the homepage, service pages, and travel package layouts.
- Added custom sections for featured packages, testimonials, and FAQs to enhance engagement.
3. Content Structuring & Enhancements
- Organized content effectively, ensuring clear navigation and easy access to key information.
- Created a dedicated Meet Our Team section to introduce Ranlanka Travels’ travel experts.
- Integrated a contact form and inquiry system (via forms), allowing visitors to easily connect with the agency.
4. Performance & SEO Optimization
- Optimized the website for faster loading speeds by implementing caching, image compression, and clean code practices.
- Applied SEO best practices, including meta tags, alt attributes, and optimized permalinks, to improve search rankings.
5. Mobile Responsiveness & Cross-Browser Compatibility
- Ensured full mobile responsiveness, making the website look great on all screen sizes.
- Tested and optimized the site for compatibility across different browsers.
